| About Us |
I first became interested in the Australian Shepherd breed while
growing up as my mom was raising them. My first Aussie was a
black tri puppy, which became my obedience project for 4-H. I
was impressed with the dog's intelligence, eagerness to learn,
and at how easy she was to train. I knew that someday I would
have a special interest in the Aussies.
After graduating high school, I went to college and received my
nursing degree in 2002. After becoming a Registered Nurse, I
decided that I wanted to once again get involved with Australian
Shepherd puppies . My sister's dog had puppies, and one puppy
in particular caught my attention because of her unusual color. I
kept this puppy back and named her Madge. Madge has had
several healthy puppies.
In 2003, I married my husband, Mitch, who also enjoys Madge. We
now have a daughter, Kiersten, who was born March 29, 2005. Our
second daughter, Kinsley, was later born August 31, 2007. They
will grow up around the Australian Shepherds and help me
socialize them along with my 5-year-old nephew, Ryan. Kiersten
already enjoys the puppies and watching Madge out our back door
window.
I raise Australian Shepherds to become family pets and
companion dogs. I don't raise them for breeding or show, but
they can be used for that.
